This policy explains what personal information Lucid Corp. collects when you use this website, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It is written to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This draft should be reviewed by Lucid Corp.'s legal counsel before the site goes live.
01Who we are
Lucid Corp. is a Canadian manufacturer of thermoformed food packaging, with facilities in Brampton and Concord, Ontario. We operate this website to describe our products and capabilities and to let food producers, retailers and partners get in touch with us.
Questions about this policy or about your personal information can be sent to partners@lucidcorp.com or by phone at +1 (905) 555-0142.
02What we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us and the minimum technical information needed to serve the site.
- Contact form. When you request a sample, book a meeting or send a message, we receive the details you enter: your name, company, email address, phone number, the market segment and volume you select, the topics you tick and your message.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical details of each visit — IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request — to keep the site running and secure.
We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks or social-media pixels on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
04Why we use your information
We use the information you send us to:
- reply to your enquiry, send samples and arrange meetings;
- understand your packaging requirements so we can quote and plan trials;
- keep a record of our correspondence with your company;
- keep the site secure, diagnose problems and prevent misuse.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to keep in touch.
06How long we keep it
Contact-form messages are kept in our business email and customer records for as long as we have an active or prospective relationship with your company, and for a reasonable period afterwards to answer follow-up questions and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short, rolling period and are then deleted automatically.
07Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may ask us:
- what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used or shared;
- to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- to withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions;
- to delete your information where we no longer need it.
Write to partners@lucidcorp.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
08Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Contact-form submissions are transmitted encrypted and are handled only by staff who need them to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
09Children
This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
